Hey there kiddies, this is my first entry in my Blog, hehehe...dangerous huh, an online account of my somewhat insane, life. I guess I will start off with WHY I chose the name Minotaur Boy. When I was in Victoria, I was going to a pretty exclusive and VERY nice gym called Studio 4, (YES I DO know that even the name is pretentious) I was working out one day and this young guy kept looking at me in the mirror. I wanted to know what he was looking at, so when we were on the exercise bikes, I asked him how his workout was going, he said fine and then it happened. He looks at me, and then my septum piercing (I was wearing a small ring at the time) and said "Dude, you look just like a Minotaur with that piercing" LOL That was it, after that the staff started calling me Minotaur Boy and I didn't mind actually. Hehe. SO that's the explination! Ah Victoria, my own, personal Shangri-La, what can I say folks, beautiful does NOT even come close to how that city is. I was staying with Cindy and Tim, they were so hospitable, and great to me, opened their home and hearts to me in my time of despair and sadness. They live in a place called Arbutus Cove, and yes, it is basically right on the ocean, lol, in fact, when you leave their door you do see the ocean. Trees older than our country are everywhere, trunks so thick a group of men could not wrap their arms around them, and green moss, and ferns everywhere. Yeah, there are also PALM TREES everywhere too, Victoria is Canada's MOST temperate climate and anything lush grows there abundantly. The downtown core is a myriad of buildings dating back to the 1800's and cobblestone streets everywhere, unique shops are found around every corner, even the old Opium dens around Fan-tan Alley are still there, and no, there is NO opium anywhere. LOL. It was SO nice to come to downtown late at night, (caught the last ferry from Vancouver and arrived at 12am) and see people EVERYWHERE. It was great, a city alive, a city with purpose, and a city with a WARM CLIMATE! LOL. Needless to say, Victoria was exactly what I needed, although I missed everyone terribly, I had to leave, and just get away. I'm gonna cut the post here folks, just wanted to say hello, and welcome to my blog!! The picture is taken in downtown Victoria, and the mountain in the background is the famous Mt. Baker!! Take care everyone and I look foreword to your replies, and comments! (ALTHOUGH they had better be good, 'cause I am NOT afraid to use the delete key! LOL)
